Central Coast Home Addition

 Nestled just minutes away from the stunning beaches of California’s Central Coast, this thoughtfully designed home addition demonstrates how function and aesthetics can harmoniously coexist. The project was a collaboration aimed at enhancing daily living through smart design choices, all while drawing inspiration from the surrounding coastal beauty.

 A highlight of this addition is the multiuse mudroom, designed with both practicality and flexibility in mind. This space offers a dedicated area for the family to comfortably remove their shoes after a long day and includes ample storage for miscellaneous items. To further its functionality, a compact and efficient at-home workspace was carved out within the mudroom, making it an ideal spot for remote work or household organization.

 The primary bathroom designed to be made into a tranquil retreat for the homeowner. The design plan included a spacious walk-in shower with custom venetian plaster applied floor to ceiling, perfect for unwinding. A double vanity unit with ample lighting that streamlines morning routines. While incorporating a discreet toilet inlet for optimal privacy and balance.

 The design direction focused on connecting the home to its natural surroundings. Soft hues, layered textures, and carefully selected materials reflect the light and breezy essence of the nearby beaches. By integrating these coastal influences, the addition achieves the fuctionality of a mudroom and bathroom that resonates with the serene beauty of the Central Coast.

 This project exemplifies how informed decisions in cabinetry, hard surface materials, and lighting can shape a home addition that is as functional as it is beautiful.
